VILLA KAWAYAN BAMBOO BAR & HUTS
WELCOMES ALL TO THE ISLAND OF SIQUIJOR
Kawayan is bamboo in Filipino. It is one of the most resilient types of grass that grows everywhere in the Philippines. The word "kawayan" also means to wave, mimicking how the bamboos sway with the wind, like waving and welcoming all.
Villa Kawayan is a cluster of bamboo huts all built with bamboo, sustainably sourced from Bacolod and Siquijor Island and built by local artisans and craftsmen based in the growing ville of San Juan in Siquijor and from Bacolod, the City of Smiles in Negros Occidental.
Villa Kawayan is not only a sustainable and eco-resort for backpackers and travelers. It is equally a community that promotes local artisanal know-how by showcasing bamboo products made by local artisans, inviting all travelers and tourists alike to feel at home in a bamboo paradise.
